1) Do I need to prepare for a facial?

Often we are asked the steps that are needed to be taken in preparation for a facial. While you do not have to traditionally prepare for a facial, there may be some skin care steps to avoid prior to your appointment. For example, we recommend to avoid any harsh exfoliants prior to your facial as this could cause irritation during your appointment. It’s important to have hydrated skin but not exfoliated. This includes avoiding waxing or shaving your face, therefore if you also are looking to have a waxing / sugaring / threading service with us, we will always book it for a separate day.

Also recommended is that you avoid using new skin care products prior to your facial. This is strictly to avoid any conflicts with your skin barrier and help prevent any allergic reactions prior to your facial. If you come in with a reaction or a sore we will unfortunately have to rebook your service.

2) What facial is best for my skin?

This question is commonly asked during the booking stage. We have many tailored luxurious facials. While each has a unique element to them, they all have the purpose of having your skin refreshed and glowing. Depending on the skin’s maturity we may recommend different treatments. Below is a high-level description of our facials. For a more in-depth overview please refer to our facial page.

  • Classic Facial: Our tried and true. This facial is a great first facial, it targets the individual’s needs using GM Collin products. This relaxing facial also includes a neck

  • Signature Facial: This service is our classic facial but better! It’s a 75 minute service that includes hot stones and paraffin wax for the hands. It’s 15 minutes extra of pure bliss. It can be paired with either GM Collin or Eminence products.

For the best results, we recommend a series of treatments to fully reveal smoother, healthier-looking skin.

3) Can I wear makeup to the service and can I re-apply afterwards?

You can wear makeup to your service, as our estheticians can simply remove your makeup. However, we do ask that you don’t wear a heavy application of makeup as it will take longer to remove. In regards to after your appointment we do suggest that you go make-up free for the remainder of your day so that your skin can breathe and take in all of the benefits of your appointment.

4) Can I pair other services with my facial?

Absolutely, you can pair additional services with your facial. Our front desk representatives will be happy to customize your spa day for you. However, if you are looking to get an any tinting services or a lash lift we will look into booking any waxing or facials on a separate day as the oils will compromise the lash lift.

5) How often should I get a facial?

Often we are asked during a booking “should I book my next facial now?” and our answer to that is it’s really personal preference. We do recommend getting a facial every 4-6 weeks. This will keep your skin healthy and also protect your skin barrier.

✨ We hope that this blog post assists you in booking your next appointment with us and if you happen to have any additional questions our team is happy to provide answers.
